About Me

I am a colorectal surgeon who was trained in Switzerland and the UK. My specialist interest is minimally-invasive, and particularly robotic surgery for cancer and other diseases of the bowel.

I strive to meet the patients'  expectations whenever I can. I believe in a multidisciplinary approach to complex problems and work closely with experts from associated specialities.

I received specialist training in some of the best colorectal units in the country and I am working as a consultant at St Mark's Hospital, a world-wide unique specialist hospital for the treatment of bowel disease. I am continuously contributing to current research and I am a trainer for minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, nationally and internationally. More details of my CV can be found here.

I offer an individualised service for the surgical treatment of bowel disease. I work closely with a number of expert physicians of related specialities, such as gastroenterologists, endoscopists, oncologists and radiologists.

Being diagnosed with bowel cancer is an incisive event in someone's life. It is often a confusing and anxious time. Supporting, compassionate care and high quality surgery are key to successful treatment. Find out more following the icon above.

Other conditions of the bowel that may require surgery are diseases of the anus (haemorrhoids, fissure, fistulas) or inflammatory diseases of the bowel. Find a list of conditions and treatments by clicking on the icon above.

Robotic surgery is a type of minimally invasive surgery using highly sophisticated technology. Find out about the advantages, details and procedures by clicking the icon above.

I offer a weekly outpatient clinic on Monday mornings at 116 Harley Street. I try to accommodate appointments on other days if you wish to do so (also available at St Mark's Hospital). Get in touch with my PA to find out more. Email or call 020 3727 0939

You will have a thorough medical assessment by a team of specialist nurses and anaesthetists before any procedure is undertaken. This may involve additional tests such as x ray, blood test or lung function tests.

After having had a procedure, a detailed surveillance plan is established and you will be seen regularly by me personally. Regular scans, colonoscopies and blood tests will be performed as appropriate.
